Cliff Williams / TPI Freshly minted Troop 50 Eagle Scouts Watson Perdue, Walter Lynch and William Ocie Carey are cheered on my Troop 50 following an Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

Three Elmore County youth have joined the ranks of more than two million Eagle Scouts named since 1912.

Watson Perdue, Walter Lynch and William Ocie Carey honored their mentors, teachers, parents and Scout masters as they were recognized during the Eagle Scout Court of Honor hosted by Troop 50 in Wetumpka on Sunday. All started their Scouting journey more than seven years ago and finished with Eagle Scout projects across Elmore County. Perdue installed a flagpole at the Wetumpka VFW. Lynch created a work bench at the Swayback Trail on Lake Jordan. Carey installed a flag pole at Tallassee High School where he is a senior. Carey also donated funds to the band program to help the bass drum line.
