Defendant gets probation for selling THC vape to juveniles

A Tallassee man will serve 36 months of supervised probation for the sale of THC products to children.

Jason Cowart, 26, of Tallassee, was arrested in September 2025 and charged with two counts of chemical endangerment of a minor and two counts of sale of controlled substances to a minor. Cowart pleaded guilty in April to one count of distribution of a controlled substance. Judge Patrick Pinkston sentenced Cowart according to a plea agreement between prosecutors and Cowart last week. It was a hearing where Cowart apologized for his actions.
