With just days remaining in the Open Enrollment Period, seniors are advised to pay close attention to their Medicare coverage options as a result of the Affordable Care Act.

“When people talk about health reform, they often focus on the expanded access to health insurance that the Affordable Care Act created,” said CEO of UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement in Montgomery Gregg Kunemund on Monday. “But it’s important for people to know that the law is also designed to shift the way health care systems work to help improve people’s health and encourage better health outcomes. And that shift is impacting Medicare in some ways.”
