During Monday night’s city council meeting, Bobby Ingram, Tallassee’s water-filter plant manager, explained the cost associated with the addition of fluoride to the city’s water supply.
According to Ingram, the cost of fluoride use is expensive. The chemical costs close to $13,000. The tank that holds the chemical costs $22,000 and the cost to replace a tank is $10,000-$12,000.
