Reeltown controls both sides of ball in first-round win

Cliff Williams / TPI Reeltown’s Traylen Roberts (2) runs against Houston County.

The game was never really in doubt. The only thing Houston County took from Reeltown was the opening kickoff.

But then Houston County lost 3 yards on its first drive before punting to the Rebels and Reeltown never looked back. The homestanding Rebels took the ball 60 yards and two plays for running back Traylen Roberts to find the endzone. It was all Reeltown needed where its defense stood out with 15 different players recording a tackle in the first half. Harrison Renfroe led the way with seven tackles in the first half including a sack. The Rebels held Houston County to minus 17 yards of offense in the first half compared to the Rebels 369 in the 65-0 victory.
