The Tallassee Tigers will head to Tuscaloosa this Friday to take on American Christian Academy in the first round of the AHSAA Class 4A playoffs. Coach L.A. O’Neal has emphasized mental toughness and a strong defense as keys to win the game.

For the second straight season under coach Lawrence “L.A” O’Neal, the Tallassee Tigers are headed to the playoffs. 

Last season, they made a deep run into the semifinals, eventually losing to the Jackson Aggies. The Aggies went on to beat Cherokee County 69-6 to become the 2024 AHSAA Class 4A state champions.
