Reigning state champions Tallassee Tigers are off to a dominant start this season with a 9-0 record. Five of their 14 starting wrestlers also remain undefeated, including Braxton Alvarez, Dylan Price, Brady Adams, Tra’Mel McCoy and Thomas Patterson.

Over the holiday, the Tallassee Tigers boys wrestling team improved to 9-0 on the season. At the annual Jamie Blakely Duals tournament on Monday, Nov. 24, the Tigers faced some tough competition but they remain undefeated. 

Tallassee wrestled five schools including Beulah, Dadeville, Elmore County, Reeltown and Weaver. Against Beulah, Tallassee cashed in on five forfeits from the Bobcats, beating them 72-12. The Tigers came up with pins in every match they won, with Braxton Alvarez (106 pounds) pinning his opponent in just 13 seconds, Thomas Patterson (113) had the next quickest pin at 20 seconds.
