I recently Googled “February 9, 1964,” as an experiment, and sure enough, the first few links and videos listed had to do with the Beatles’ appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” on that date.

Back then, the terms “wimp” and “nerd” were most likely in their, er, infancy of usage, as applied to, um, “98-lb. weaklings,” which was a phrase from a Charles Atlas bodybuilding ad that also described physically-inferior males.
