Lake Martin Resource Association continuing mission to protect the lake, its communities

As Lake Martin approaches 100 years, Lake Martin Resource Association president Jodi McGirt visited Dadeville Kiwanis Club members to share its mission, vision and values. 

The association's early pillars included environmental education, boater safety and advocacy. McGirt said LMRA played a big role in the beginning in the volume and quality of water that came down into the lake as a team was put together to represent the lake at the local, state and federal levels. LMRA also works with Alabama Power Company with the Renew our Rivers cleanup.
