The Dadeville City Council has rescinded language in the city’s new business license ordinance that would keep contractors of any size from doing business in the city without workman’s compensation insurance.

The council also agreed Tuesday to at least revisit language in the ordinance that would require contractors to purchase general liability insurance before receiving a city business license after a group of about 60 small tradesmen shared their concerns with the council.
