Master Gardener teaches about moon gardens

White salvia is one of the plants Fortner has in her moon garden. A moon garden is a garden made up of primarly white flowers and plants, which reflect the moonlight during a full moon making the garden visible at night.

The weather is getting warmer, and it might be time to start thinking about planting some flowers.

Lee County Master Gardener Association member Dianna Fortner was the guest speaker for the Lake Martin Dadeville Area Kiwanis Club to discuss moon gardens. Fortner explained a moon garden is a garden made up of largely white flowers and plants, which reflect the moonlight during a full moon.
