Ivy Creek hospice nurse recipient of first-ever Cornerstone of Nursing award

The Ivy Creek Healthcare Cornerstone of Nursing recipient did not think she would receive the honor. She is always with her patients and continuously advocating for them. Her fellow healthcare professionals often wonder if they will see her during her shift because of how dedicated she is to her calling — but that is exactly why she was chosen.

The first of its kind, the award is described by Ivy Creek Healthcare as one that recognizes a nurse who exemplifies dedication, compassion, leadership and excellence in their patient care everyday. Ivy Creek hospice nurse Chasity Abram was nominated by her peers alongside five other nurses, but it was Abram who ultimately stood out.
