A well-known musician who had Tallapoosa County on the country music map as the owner and operator of the famed Blue Creek Recreation Center has died at 92 as the result of a four-vehicle crash in Auburn Wednesday.

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris confirmed that Edwin “Peck” Rowell died at 4:16 p.m. after being flown by helicopter to UAB Hospital. The cause of death was listed as internal injuries.
