Since the Dadeville City Council meeting at the beginning of February addressing the issue of liability insurance and worker’s compensation, few tradesmen and contractors have applied for business licenses to build within the city limits.

“There really hasn’t been a drastic amount of people applying for licenses at city hall,” Dadeville Mayor Mike Ingram said. “They told me that the ordinance was keeping them from feeding their families and making their house payments, but as of last week, only 12 of 60 tradesmen actually applied for licenses.”
