Submitted / TPI ALDOT has announced another phase of work has begun on U.S. Highway 231 in Wetumpka. The work will be similar to last year’s work on the roadway further south. It will include. limiting some turning movements along the corridor utilizing concrete islands and install a U-Turn bulb just south of South Main Street.

An Alabama Department of Transportation access management project along U.S. Highway 231 in Wetumpka, will begin Monday, April 6, weather permitting.    

According to an ALDOT press release, the access management project will begin at the intersection of Charles Avenue and end at the intersection of South Main Street.
