The history between the Edgewood Academy football team and Abbeville Christian football team could not be much closer. After years of battles, the two programs are deadlocked at 8-8 in the all-time series, meaning Friday’s matchup will give one team the edge.

Edgewood is coming to erase the memory of last year’s meeting, when Abbeville Christian defeated Edgewood in an 36-14 victory. The Wildcats will also try to carry over the defensive identity they showed against Southern Prep, and dominate the game as they did against Sparta Academy in an overwhelming 39-0 victory.
