Another defendant sentenced in sex sting operation

A 23-year-old man will have to get his GED as one his conditions to be released from state prison after sentencing by Judge Patrick Pinkston.

Cenen Barrera, 23, of Montgomery, previously pleaded guilty to electronic solicitation of a minor. Barrea was arrested in March 2025 on charges of electronic solicitation of a child, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act and third-degree escape. Barrea was one of eight defendants arrested by the Prattville Police Department during an undercover operation in Elmore County.
