Cliff Williams / TPI A pumping station for the West Elmore Sewer Group project is being constructed behind Airport Road Elementary School near a Millbrook pumping station. The project is to help alleviate sewer treatment issues in Millbrook and provide for growth in west Elmore County.
A nearly $7 million project to install almost 20,000 feet of 12-inch forced sewer line to serve 40,000 western Elmore County residents may be lost part way through construction.
The project is aimed at helping alleviate the City of Millbrook’s lack of capacity to treat sewage for a growing population, especially in the morning and evening and provide the opportunity for rural residents of west Elmore County the ability to connect to sewage at some point in the future.
