Coosa River Challenge returns for 24th year

For 24 years the Coosa River Challenge has been more than an event. What began as a way to showcase the Swayback Bridge trail, the Coosa River and downtown Wetumpka has grown into a legacy. It’s an adventure race with friendly competition and encouragement for others with bumps and bruises from life.

“It's an adventure race, which is kind of a triathlon with a twist,” organizer Therese Carter said. “They run, they bike and they paddle, but then there's challenges along the way.”
