Emotion, execution overtake Stanhope Elmore in loss

With “Hooray for Lions” blaring in the background, Hunter Adams stood before his team of battered Stanhope Elmore Mustangs, who had just been on the losing end of a 68-14 throttling by rival Prattville. 

“We talked about three things: Effort, emotion and execution. It was the emotion and the execution that got the best of us,” Adams said. “We had guys in position tonight to make plays that we didn’t make. The execution wasn’t there. We were too emotional and trying to do more than we were supposed to do, letting that emotion take away from the fundamentals.”
