Cliff Williams / TPI Volunteers from the Wetumpka High School Marching Band help with the Elmore County Schools Child Nutrition Program summer food distribution Thursday. Almost 6,500 children received 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches.

No child should go hungry in Elmore County. At least, that is the mission of the Elmore County Schools Child Nutrition Program.

Once again the Elmore County Schools CNP director Cacye Davis and her staff have lined up to supply nearly 2,000 hot meals to area centers including schools and provide 7,200 children with 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches every 10 days through the end of July.
