Hurricane Francine is making its way toward the Gulf of Mexico and is predicted to bring heavy rainfall and damaging winds to parts of Alabama.

As the storm hits Thursday, a slight severe weather risk, level two out of five, is issued for Tallapoosa, Coosa and Elmore counties with possible brief tornados and damaging winds up to 40 mph across Central Alabama.
