Property owners from the residential historic home district in Wetumpka demanded answers about the next steps for city-owned property on Marshall Street at last week’s Wetumpka City Council meeting.

City leaders had asked for a public hearing prior to rezoning the property to B-4, business conservation district. It failed to get enough votes. According to property owners, the city is negotiating with Lake Martin Pizza Company to bring its covered pavilion and outdoor music to the residential neighborhood.
