Local high school band members are about to have the opportunity to participate in an honor band.

The Tallapoosa County Honor Band will be chosen and perform at the end of March. The only other time all four county high school bands gather is during Night of Bands held right before football season.

Benjamin Russell High School band director Christian Reyes-Odum will host auditions and a show for the 2026 Tallapoosa County Honor Band. The competition is open to all band members in the county including BRHS, Horseshoe Bend School, Reeltown High School and Dadeville High School.
