Louie Gallops served Coosa County for decades fighting fires in the Hollins area.

“Everybody knew he had heart issues,” Goodwater Fire Department chief Elmore Unbehant said. “But (Gallops) showed up like there was no problem, even if he shouldn’t have. If the community needed him, he came anyway.”
