It was finally time for the Horseshoe Bend volleyball team to lace up against someone other than itself.

On Monday, the Generals had their season opener against the Dadeville Tigers, earning their first win of the season in straight sets. Going into the matchup, HBS coach Hagen Whiteard knew there were going to be mistakes, especially with a new core of girls. But overall, the Generals kept the mistakes to a minimum.
