File / TPI Horseshoe Bend's Kendon Sherrer was the second-leading scorer for the Generals last season. He will be looked upon to step up this year with low numbers to start.
Injuries are always bound to be an issue with any high school sports team; unfortunately, for the Horseshoe Bend basketball team, it’s happened before the season has even started. Originally beginning the offseason with 14 players on the varsity roster, the number has dwindled down to 10.
One of them is the leading scorer from a year ago in Braxton Wilson. He suffered an injury during the football season, which puts uncertainty on the timetable for his return. And although that can be detrimental, it does open the door for some new players to really step up for the Generals this winter.
