After several years of searching for a feasible way to have regular ambulance service in New Site, the town has finally found a solution.

“I'm very proud to talk about this tonight,” New Site Mayor Phil Blasingame said at the town council meeting Monday night. ”(Tallapoosa County District 3) commissioner John McKelvey and I have both been talking about this project and wanting to have an ambulance service in our community.”

Tallapoosa EMS will house an ambulance in New Site's fire department 8 a.m.-8 p.m. five days a week to increase response time in the northern portion of Tallapoosa County.
