Alexander City’s Walmart is helping cash-strapped teachers by giving $1,000 for classroom supplies to 10 local educators.

Members of the school system as well as Walmart associates picked Radney School to get funds as part of the store’s teacher rewards program. The school then choose 10 teachers at random, who were given $100 for supplies, according to Radney principal Dr. Beverly Price.
