Chris Brown takes the oath of office Monday as the District 5 representative on the Alexander City City Council. He is flanked by his wife Kylie and son Ty. Brown was appointed to fill out the remainder of the term of Tommy Spraggins, who became mayor upon the death of Jim Nabors in May.
