A crash near the River Bridge ended in a fatality Thursday night in Alexander City.

At approximately 9:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to U.S. Highway 280 near the intersection of River North Marina Road in reference to a vehicle crash, according to a press release from the Alexander City Police Department.
