Davis to enter term as superintendent

Former deputy superintendent Casey Davis was approved as interim superintendent as former superintendent Ray Porter officially retires.

If anyone is qualified to be the superintendent of Tallapoosa County Schools, it’s Casey Davis.

The Dadeville native ran unopposed in the 2024 general election, officially moving him into the role for the next four years. Following former superintendent Ray Porter’s retirement in July, Davis moved into the interim superintendent position; however, Davis’ experience with the county’s school system spans over his entire life.
