Jackson’s Gap is one step closer to having its own FEMA Safe Room to offer shelter during storms.

This Monday, the FEMA Safe Room began its installation process. Tallapoosa County EMA director Jason Moran said the goal is to have the safe room open as soon as possible after the construction process and the inspections from Alabama EMA, FEMA and the Fire Marshall’s Office.
