HBS takes home trophies from math competition

A handful of Horseshoe Bend School students participated at a recent math competition at Southern Union State Community College.

Horseshoe Bend was one of the 11 schools in the small school division competition, consisting of private schools, 1A, 2A and 3A. Horseshoe Bend won first place for Algebra 1 and second place for Algebra 2. In the individual category, Hannah Yates won first place for Algebra 1 and David Layfield won second place for Algebra 2.
