Several members of the Homeowners Association of Lake Martin, Sandy Creek Area, spoke before the Tallapoosa County Commission at Monday’s meeting voicing their concerns over a proposed development in the area.
The McBride Company, an engineering firm from Illinois, submitted a second rendering of the proposed Camp Margaritaville RV Resort and Cabana Cabins in March 2025 to the developers. The current landowners are T Bar C, LLC and Cheatham Farms, LLC, from Tennessee. According to a Facebook comment, Tallapoosa County Revenue Commissioner Eva Middlebrooks has not seen any paperwork come through her office indicating the land had been recently sold.
