The day for costumes and candy is creeping up, and the City of Alexander City welcomed the festivities with its annual trunk or treat. City officials, first responders and local organizations set up in the municipal complex parking lot with Halloween-themed trunks. However, they did not show up empty handed as they gave out candy, set up photo booths and were in costumes of their own as families stopped by for treats. Community members also took advantage of the food trucks present including funnel cakes. Kona Ice was there to cool off visitors after they collected candy.
