The two-time state champ put pen to paper on Thursday, Horseshoe Bend standout thrower Elijah Smith signing his letter of intent to Mississippi College, a Division II college located in Clinton, Mississippi.
Smith has been one of the Generals' mainstays in the throwing events, earning his second consecutive state championship in the discus at the AHSAA Class 2A state meet in 2025. And now, Smith can add college signee to his impressive resume.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
