Alexander City’s own Terrell Owens finally made his way onto another NFL team a few weeks ago. After a summer of uncertainty, inking a deal in Cincinnati was probably a sigh of relief for the controversial wide out. Even if the Bengals are pro football’s version of “The Island of Misfit Toys,” they still are an NFL franchise so T.O. can continue to be T.O.

I was hoping to see Terrell go a different route, though. I was hoping he’d bypass the Bengals, shun the Saints and avoid the Raiders. In fact, I wanted Mr. Owens out of the league all together because I was hoping he’d take his talents to the broadcast booth.
