Residents had their first opportunity to break in the new multi-use recreational trail in the Charles E. Bailey Sportplex Saturday.

The ACORN (Alex City Outdoor Recreation Network) multi-use trail began almost a year ago as a project for members of Leadership Lake Martin. “It’s kind of a personal project for me,” said Doug Roberts of the Leadership Lake Martin group.
