Workers from Alabama Power will be in the New Site area on Wednesday morning to upgrade some of the high voltage lines in town. For approximately four hours, a number of customers in New Site, including the New Site Town Hall, will be without power while this work is completed.

“Around 30 customers will be involved. We have sent notices to those who will be affected by this work,” said Cory Hanks, the engineering supervisor for Alabama Power’s Lake Martin operations. “The work is scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday.”
