The West Tallapoosa Chapter of the American Red Cross acted quickly in helping evacuees from Louisiana when they arrived during Hurricane Gustav.

By using money in the chapter’s Disaster Relief Fund, they were able to provide food and supplies for the 100-plus evacuees sheltered at Central Alabama Community College.
