Is it too early to look ahead to 2004 already?

I began to think about that after I heard the news that NASCAR is entertaining the idea of “realigning” next year’s Winston Cup schedule. The teams haven’t even arrived in Daytona to begin this year’s season, and NASCAR Chairman Bill France is already talking about next year.
