In the world of film, a “turkey,” by definition, is a movie that is extremely or completely unsuccessful. In just a few weeks, many families declare turkey season as the arrival of the Thanksgiving holidays. For hunters in Alabama, turkey season is guided by specific dates and regulations; however, turkey season in the world of movies knows no boundaries.

The unsuspecting moviegoer does not have to stealthily hunt for a turkey. The turkey of a movie can pop up even when the viewer has the best of intentions and is thinking he or she is about to enjoy a cinematic treat, only to discover that they have been treated to a real stinker of a flick.
