Pork legislation has raised its head again in the Alabama Legislature, just as lawmakers should hear from Gov. Bob Riley what he plans to do about the free-wheeling spending.

The latest headline is that state Sen. Roger Bedford, D-Russellville, has received more than $3.1 million for his district since October. This puts Bedford as the king of pork, no doubt.
