September is the month designated to focus on many health issues, including prostate cancer and peripheral arterial disease. According to the American Cancer Society, other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. The American Cancer Society estimates that about 238,590 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in the United States this year, and some 29, 720 men will die from the disease.
