Russell Medical’s CRNP Coker joins staff at new Urgent Care

Russell Medical proudly announces the opening of its newest service, Russell Medical Urgent Care. The doors opened Monday, Dec. 4, as an expansion of treatment options available to patients on campus. Russell Medical Urgent Care is located on the hill behind the cancer center and is accessed by Highway 280 or Elkahathchee Road. The walk-in clinic treats injuries and illnesses requiring immediate care but not serious enough to require emergency room visits.

Tammy Coker, certified registered nurse practitioner, comes to the urgent care clinic from another Russell Medical rural care clinic, Health Partners of Goodwater. Coker has long tenure with Russell Medical and has worked in various clinical areas, including the Emergency Department and cardiac cath lab for 15 years. She and her family are very active in the community, and she is happy to be the first CRNP rendering care in this new location.
