When lightening strikes usually damage is minimal, but the Adams Water treatment plant was not that lucky Nov. 18 when a storm hit the area.

“We had a bad thunderstorm with flash flooding,” Eugene Mahan said at Monday’s council meeting. “At the end of the storm there was a loud boom that shook the whole plant.”
