With the nationwide switch from analog to digital broadcasts just around the corner many local retailers, cable and satellite companies are preparing for it.

Even though the United States Senate passed a bill earlier this week and again Thursday to allow for a four-month delay to the process, the current law says that all analog broadcasts will cease Feb 17, meaning that analog televisions that are not connected to cable, satellite or a digital converter box will lose their signal.
