An Eclectic man will serve time in community corrections following his seventh felony conviction.

Robert Benson Jr., 55, of Eclectic, was given a split sentence of 76 months but will serve 36 months in community corrections by Judge Patrick Pinkston. It’s a sentence that follows sentencing guidelines imposed by the Alabama Legislature. Benson pled guilty last month to a Class D felony of third-degree theft of lost property.
