The last few years have brought an armory of exceptional titles to the games industry. In 2012, we were brought into the eighth console generation with Nintendo’s release of the Wii U. Since that time, gamers have had the opportunity to delve into enhanced graphics and more impressive titles. During the last console cycle, Sony’s Playstation 3 was host of the Naughty Dog-developed Uncharted series. Naughty Dog’s developers, for reference, are the masterminds behind illustrious franchises like Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot and The Last of Us. The studio seems unable to develop anything close to subpar.

Uncharted, which currently has three main series entries, follows the adventures of Nathan Drake and his troupe of allies. While Drake himself might first come across as your average, gruff, man’s-man type of protagonist, he’s far more than that. Most heroes who fit this archetype often exhibit a nonsensical disregard for their own lives, but Drake knows what sort of danger will emerge during his pursuits. Drake’s overall demeanor works to wick-off the overt seriousness of any situation, but he’s a highly intelligent individual. Drake might have gone through all of this hardship, but his adventures may be coming to a close.
